About the Black Russian Terrier The Black Russian Terrier is a Russian breed of dog that was originally developed as a guard dog. It was not until July of 2004 that the AKC recognized the breed. These dogs are brave and very observant. Puppies should be treated with love but be firm. They love children and love to play with them.They need intense contact with humans. Easy to housebreak, they don't also don't need to be trained to accept a leash.
