About the Boxer
The Boxer is the clown of dogs. They live life to the fullest. They are a sympathetic soul and make a great confidante. He is renowned for his great love and faithfulness to master and household. Boxers are distrustful of strangers and are bright and friendly in play. They have intelligence and cleanliness make them a great companion. Good with children, and playful and energetic.

They are a German breed of dog and were developed in the late 1800s. Todays Boxer is a medium sized dog with a very short muzzle. They will come in colors of brindle, fawn and white. These dogs are prone to getting aortic stenosis, Boxer cardiomyopathy, hip dysplasia, hypothyroidism, corneal dystrophy, cancer, bloat and allergies. Besides being friendly, lively companions they are sometimes used as guard dogs.

They have been used as guide dogs for the blind and police dogs in K9 units.
