About the Brittany
The Brittany is a breed of gun dog that is primarily bred to hunt birds. The dog is often referred to as a spaniel but the breed's working characteristics are more akin to a pointer or setter

The breed is easy to train, sensitive, and sweet natured. A Brittany is excellent with children but since they are an exuberant breed, if they aren't well supervised they might accidently harm a small child. They make a first rate companion but do need lots of exercise.

They were developed in the Brittany province of France in the 1800s. They are happiest when hunting but make wonderful family pets.
