About the Collie
The Collie has it all, poise, confidence, intelligence and beauty. It is probably the most recognized dog of all. They carry themselves and look gorgeous. Everyone wants to pet this dog and they get all kinds of great comments by anyone who passes.

The Collie is from the herding group. It comes in two coat varieties. Rough coat and Smooth coat. They are usually sable white, tricolor, blue merle and white. They make excellent children's pets and get along well with other household dogs. They make an excellent watchdog.

This dog originated in Scotland and has a life expectancy of 8-12 years. Some live well into the teens if they have good care.

Collies do best in homes with fenced yards. They are not recommended for apartments due to their size and they tend to bark alot when bored
