About the Fox Terrier
The Fox Terrier or Foxy refers to two different breeds, the Smooth Fox Terrier and the Wire Fox Terrier, (referring to their coats)

They were bred to assist in fox hunting. The first Fox Terrier was registered circa 1875-6. The miniature version of this dog has become extremely popular.
